Haines Road Animal Hospital

I will not be taking another animal to this vet. I spent 500 to have my dog fully examined bc she was 11 yrs old and having trouble going to the bathroom. Also had a lump on her side. They did the full examination or so I was told. They told me she needed surgery and all said and done spent about $4000. I asked before I did the surgery if my dog would get her quality of life back and if this was the only issue. The vet assured me that it was and she would. After I had the surgery none of the issues were ever resolved and my dog never got better. Fast forward a couple months and I take her back to the vet. They check her for 2 minutes and tell me now she has colon cancer and I should put her down. If I spent top dollar to have an exam done before my dog was cut into why didn't they check for that. Yet they determine in 2 minutes after I have the surgery and spend all the money that the actual problem isn't fixable and want to charge another 600 to have her put down. I have found another vet that I really like and prices are much more reasonable. Just trying to let others know stay away unless you have money to waist.

From the moment we started visiting this clinic years ago, the staff has always been patient, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Dr. Vicente, who is now retired, always provided exceptional care for our dog. The rest of the staff at Haines Road Animal Hospital have continued to uphold this high standard of care, and we are forever grateful for their dedication to our pet's health and well-being. During our dog's end-of-life care, the doctors were incredibly supportive and understanding. They guided us through the process, providing all the necessary information and making sure we were comfortable with our decision. Despite the emotional difficulty, they treated both us and our dog with utmost respect and kindness. What truly touched our hearts was the personal card that was sent to us after our dog passed away. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant the world to us. In an age where personal touch is often overlooked, the doctors at Haines Road Animal Hospital went above and beyond to show their compassion and sympathy. I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care that our dog received and the compassion shown to us during this difficult time. My ancient cat, Thomas, is probably getting close to "that time". I called, and the amazing receptionist, Ginger, listened and helped me make a plan. I talked to her a few times through the day, and she was always compassionate and helpful. I arrived for a quality of life exam, and encountered Alex the technician, and Dr. Hartog. Amazing care from both of them... from holding my angry boy, to answering my random questions, to handing me a tissue when I got upset... I don't think it's long for him, but what an awesome decision I made to go here and put my soul at ease. I even got to hug Ginger on the way out.. Thank you all
